Dr. Mani joined Capital Pediatrics Group after completing her medical degree at Madras Medical College and her pediatric training at Children’s Hospital of Austin. She is Board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She has been active in the hospital committee and served as a member of the medical executive board at the Children’s Hospital of Austin. She has also served on the peer review committee at St. David’s hospital. Presently she serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UTMB and enjoys teaching medical students office based clinical care. Dr mani was recently named ‘Top Doc Teacher of Distinction award. She was nominated by the UTMB school of Medicine, faculty, staff and course committiees. She has also been recognized by US News and World Report as one of America’s Top Doctors. This is a peer-nominated distinction. Her travel experiences help her understand the cultures in different parts of the world and her practice experiences abroad have given her the unique awareness to handle variety of illnesses. She advises on medical needs for international travel and has particular interests in ADD, nutrition and obesity, and behavior and sleep disorders. She lives with her husband Kalvi and her dog Tiger. Her two daughters Shrinidi and Nithya have decided to follow her career path are both currently in medical school. |
